From the Director…

Florida is often called the “Gunshine State,” but the truth is our rights are hanging by a thread. For years, Republican leaders in Tallahassee have blocked real pro-gun reforms — watering down Constitutional Carry into a barebones Permitless Carry bill and keeping Florida as one of just four states in the nation that still bans open carry, right alongside New York, Illinois, and California.

Worse yet, in 2018 the legislature caved to the gun-control lobby and passed the largest gun-control package in state history. Red Flag gun confiscation, waiting periods, and age restrictions have already cost more than 10,000 Floridians their rights — and every day more are added to the list.

That’s why Florida Gun Owners exists. We are mobilizing gun owners across this state to demand bold action, to repeal Red Flag laws, restore open carry, and secure real Constitutional Carry.

We’ve proven that grassroots heat works. The fight ahead won’t be easy, but it’s time for gun owners in Florida to rise up, get loud, and exercise their political will. We will not stop until Florida leads the nation in protecting the Second Amendment.
