PETITION TO THE FLORIDA LEGISLATURE
In OPPOSITION to SB346, the “Assault Weapons” Ban
WHEREAS, SB346 is a sweeping gun-control bill that bans the possession, transfer, or future purchase of commonly-owned rifles, pistols, shotguns, and standard-capacity magazines used by millions of law-abiding Floridians; and
WHEREAS, SB346 forces peaceful citizens into a statewide gun registry, requiring mandatory thumbprints, personal identifying information, and certificates of possession just to keep firearms they already own; and
WHEREAS, SB346 creates felony penalties for ordinary gun owners while doing nothing to disarm violent criminals, who will ignore these requirements as they always do; and
WHEREAS, the Legislature’s repeated refusal to repeal existing gun-control laws — including the 18–20-year-old rifle ban, Red Flag gun confiscation, and the 2018 gun-control package — has emboldened the Radical Left to introduce SB346 and dozens of other unconstitutional restrictions in preparation for the 2026 elections; and
WHEREAS, Florida gun owners will NOT tolerate registration schemes, forced compliance, backdoor confiscation, or any attempt to weaponize gun control for political gain;
THEREFORE, I demand you publicly and unequivocally oppose SB346 and vote NO on this or any similar gun-control bill — and I insist that you reject ALL negotiations, compromises, or backroom deals that give the Radical Left a foothold in Florida.
