Hell no on S. 3544
Sen. Cory Booker and a bunch of Democratic cosponsors put the Federal Firearm Licensing Act into the U.S. Senate on December 17, 2025. It’s been sitting in Senate Judiciary since December. Under the bill as introduced, it’d be unlawful to buy, receive, or even possess a firearm without a federal license, unless the attorney general decides your state’s system is “substantially similar.”

That’s how you turn the Second Amendment into a permission slip.
Every transfer would feed a reporting stream to the feds. Waiting for a floor-vote headline is how these things pick up steam in committee.
