One State Attorney told police in six Florida counties that Florida law does not independently require ATF approval, a tax stamp or registration for suppressors and short barreled rifles and shotguns. One State Attorney just told police in six Florida counties that Florida law does not independently require ATF approval, a tax stamp, or registration for suppressors and short barreled rifles and shotguns.

That guidance covers only his six counties. It doesn’t change Florida law. Every other gun owner in the state is left guessing.

Rules made in Washington can change. Florida law is what stays on the books, and Florida gun owners deserve an answer that rests on it.

No one should have to check which county they’re standing in to know whether they’re following the law. Add your name and demand that Florida’s Attorney General give every Floridian the same clear answer.

It takes thirty seconds. Please sign now.
